If Celebrex is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. It is especially important to check with your doctor before combining Celebrex with the following:

- Blood thinning agents such as Coumadin

Celebrex has also been found to reduce the number of colorectal polyps (growths in the wall of the lower intestine and rectum) in people who suffer from the condition called familial adenomatous polyp osis (FAP), an inherited tendency to develop large numbers of colorectal polyps that eventually become cancerous. Celecoxib is used to relieve the pain, tenderness, inflammation (swelling), and stiff ness caused by arthritis.

Proper Use of This Medicine
Celecoxib comes as a capsule to take by mouth. It is usually taken once or twice a day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any par t you do not understand. Take celecoxib exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.

Symptoms of overdose may include:

Warning signs include nausea, fatigue, itching, yellowish skin, pain in the right side of the stomach, and flu-like symptoms.
