How to Use
Flonase comes as a solution to inhale through the nose. It is usually inhaled in each nostril once or twice a day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or ph
armacist to explain any part you do not understand. Use Flonase exactly as directed. Do not use more or less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Flonase needs to be use
d regularly in order to work well. It may take several days for you to get the full benefit of the drug. You should use Flonase every day during the time when you usually have allergy symptoms. Call y
our doctor if your symptoms do not get better or get worse.

Special warnings about this medication
People taking steroid medications run an increased risk of infections such as chickenpox and measles, and when an infection develops, it's more likely to be serious. If you've never had these diseases
and have not been vaccinated against them, avoid anyone who may have them. If by chance you're exposed, contact your doctor immediately. In rare cases, flonase can also cause a fungal infec
tion in the nose and throat. And steroid treatment can also make an existing infection worse. Be sure the doctor is aware of any infections you may have, including TB and viral infections of the eye.
