How to Use
Zyban comes as a tablet to take by mouth. It is usually taken one to three times a day and may be taken with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or divide Wellbutrin SR or Zyban tablets. Follow the d
irections on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take Zyban exactly as directed.
Continue to take Zyban even if you
feel well. Do not stop taking Zyban without talking to your doctor, especially if you have taken large doses for a long time. Your doctor probably will want to decrease your dose gradually. This drug
must be taken regularly for a few weeks before its full effect is felt.

Other medical problems
Zyban has not been tested in pregnant women. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, do your best to quit smoking with the aid of counseling and support before turning to drug therapy. For the
sake of the baby, you should avoid smoking or taking nicotine in any other form while pregnant.
Zyban appears in breast milk and could affect a nursing infant. Ask your doctor whether it wi
ll be better to discontinue the medication or to stop breastfeeding.

Drug Interactions
When you are taking Zyban, it is especially important that your health care professional know if you are taking any of the following:
- Alcohol or
- Antipsychotics (medicine for mental
illness) or
- Corticosteriods(cortisone-like medicine) or
- Fluoxetine (e.g., Prozac) or
- Lithium (e.g., Lithane) or
- Maprotiline (e.g., Ludiomil) or
- Theophylline (e.g., S
omophyllin-T) or
- Trazodone (e.g., Desyrel) or
- Ritonavir (e.g., Norvir)¡XUsing these medicines with Zyban may increase the risk of seizures

- Carbamazepine (Tegretol)
- Cimetidine (Tagamet)
- Cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan)
- Heart-stabilizing drugs such as Rythmol and Tambocor
- Levodopa (Dopar, Larodopa, Sinemet)
- Major tranquilizers such as Haldol, Risperdal and Thorazine <

- Orphenadrine (Norflex)
